The **Sangai Express** has featured Barefoot College’s latest initiative, where 30 women from Manipur have arrived at our Tilonia campus to be trained as ** Barefoot Solar Engineers.
In collaboration with MaolKeki Foundation and Nest Lamka, these women will undergo three months of hands-on training, learning the skills to install solar units and bring renewable energy to their communities. This initiative is all about building self-reliance and creating real change at the grassroots level.
This training, generously funded by HDFC Bank Parivartan is designed to equip them with the knowledge and tools needed to create sustainable solutions and drive positive change within their communities.
