The Honourable Chief Secretary of Rajasthan, Mr. V. Srinivas, visited Barefoot College, Tilonia, where he interacted with trainees of the Solar Didi Training Programme implemented in collaboration with Rajeevika.
During the visit, the Learning by Doing solar training model and the leadership of rural women in renewable energy were showcased. The Solar Didis confidently demonstrated their technical knowledge, reflecting the impact of women-led, grassroots innovation.
Appreciating the model, the Chief Secretary reaffirmed the Government of Rajasthan’s commitment to preparing 25,000 Solar Didis, calling it a significant step towards women’s empowerment and sustainable energy access.
On the occasion, 10 women were also provided tablets by Rajeevika, strengthening digital empowerment alongside technical training.
